Our History

2003 – Present: FREEDOMCAD

Freedom CAD Services, Inc.

Freedom CAD Services Inc. was born through employing the best of the best designers that were divested from Plexus. Engaging leading talent through knowledge of service and technology, we flourished both organically and through successful mergers. Merging talent from Rupert Engineering, Jardon Engineering, ACAE, and CADParts & Consulting have strengthened and diversified our core competency. Adding senior staff, Scott Miller, Eddie Broyles and Don Duncan in the mid 2000’s launched us into the engineering field, further diversifying our customers and services.

Freedom CAD strives to meet the highest standards set by the team that laid the foundation for our company. Our company’s success is uniquely & intimately tied to the success of our customers – our goal is to be a premier partner.

2000 – 2003: Plexus

Plexus Corporation

Plexus, having witnessed the success of Praegetzer, envisioned expanding their successful engineering team with e2E’s vast talent. The saga was successful and profitable. The PCB industry in 2003 was a difficult year in the technology world. Plexus divested some of their non-engineering and non-manufacturing divisions to focus on their core competencies.

1999-2000: e2E

e2E Corporation

Tyco acquired Praegetzer and divested the design teams, this unique situation allowed e2E to be born. e2E was a premiere design services business with a team of some of the most talented PCB designers in the United States. Augmenting this team was a large team of Signal Integrity engineers.

1997-1999: Praegitzer

Praegitzer Corporation

Praegitzer Corp, led by Robert Praegitzer and Matt Bergeron had a vision of merging premier PCB service operations under one umbrella to augment their manufacturing of PCBs. The plan was successful, merging 14 design service houses, including Mosher Design Services, into one. Lou and Lauren managed the Eastern United States Design Services division.

1980-1997: ACDT/MDS

Alternate Circuit Design Technologies/Mosher Design Services

Stemming from a firm foundation of electro-mechanical and PCB design & layout knowledge early in Lauren Mosher and Lou Primmer’s careers, a partnership was born. Lou, former Vice President and Co-owner of ACDT, and Lauren, a senior partner in MDS appointed Lou as Director of Marketing and Sales/Senior Partner/Co-Owner. Working beside MDS founders Ronald and Carol Mosher, the new management team consisting of Lou, Lauren and Ron Mosher allowed the company to flourish as a premier PCB layout house.
